Hockey Arena

Situation: Spectators were freezing watching hockey in an uninsulated and unheated arena; tube heaters were using too much fuel and heating the ice.

Solution: Install electric powered HotZONE heaters grouped in zones above the bleachers; turn them on by zone from a central control location when the temperature is below 45° and there are spectators in the stands.

Driving Range

Steel Mill

Situation: Condensation and corrosion was forming on rolled steel being stored in an unheated, uninsulated warehouse.

Solution: Install gas powered HotZONE heaters equipped with the IRLens around the perimeter of the warehouse; turn the heaters on when the steel's temperature is within 10° of dew point to prevent condensation from forming.

Big Box Store

Situation: Customers and cashiers near the front of the store and near the doors were getting too cold waiting or working at the checkouts.  The central heating system could not deliver enough heat to the cashiers without over-heating the rest of the store.

Solution: Installed a bank gas powered HotZONE heaters equipped with the IRLens 18' above the checkouts.  The heaters run during store hours when the outside temperature is below 50° .

Freight Sorting

Situation: A freight sorting facility needed personnel heating in a specific location in the warehouse a few hours a day.

Residential Outdoor Living

Situation: Many spring, summer and fall evenings are too cool to really enjoy being outside on the patio.

Solution: Installed several wall, trellis and stand-mounted plug-in, 120V,1500W electric HotZONE heaters on the patio, directed at the outdoor living space.  The heaters raise the apparent temperature of the patio by as much 20° at an operating cost of 15¢ per heater per hour.
